Dazzling dribbling and spectacular goals were associated with the extremely talented Ronaldinho in most of his football career. He gave his best years to Barcelona, where he was credited for helping the club to its glorious days again, winning two league titles and a Champions League. Along the way, he also mentored and played along a rising wonderkid in Lionel Messi, who would later continue to lead Barcelona to greater heights.

For Brazil, Ronaldinho formed a lethal offensive threat with Ronaldo and Rivaldo in the 2002 World Cup. The famous 3R beat all the teams on their way to victory, with Ronaldinho scoring an outrageous long range freekick against England in the quarter-finals.

Although he was often criticised for his late night partying and other off-field behaviours, the fun-loving and forever-grinning Ronaldinho would always be remembered as one of the best players in football history.
