One of the finest midfielders Spain has ever produced, Xavi, with his leadership, vision and pinpoint assists, was the driving engine behind Barcelona’s successes in the 2010s. Together with Lionel Messi and Andres Iniesta, the trio formed a formidable partnership on the field with slick passing, dribbling and finishing.

Xavi was one of the privileged group of players who have won everything in the highest standard of football, including multiple league titles and Champions League, as well as the prestigious World Cup and European Championship. In total, he won an amazing 31 trophies for Barcelona.

Almost a one-club man, Xavi played for his boyhood club for almost 17 years, before trying some overseas experience at the Qatari league towards the twilight of his football career. For Spain, Xavi had the third most appearances for the national team, after Sergio Ramos and Iker Casillas.
